About Shepherd of Sweden

We are big fans of authenticity in design, and this is why we love Shepherd of Sweden and their collection of women's slippers. Shepherd of Sweden are named as such because they have so much expertise in wool, sheepskin and their use in design. Their slipper-craft is of the very highest quality.

At the core of all of Shepherd of Sweden's designs is the wonderful natural benefits that the properties of wool offer. When used to create slippers, this natural material is able to keep your feet warm when the temperature is cold, but it also allows the air to circulate and cool the skin when temperatures rise. This combination of breathability and insulating warmth is what makes all the difference.

Traditional handcrafted slippers

In addition to the fine materials required to make these women's Shepherd of Sweden slippers, there's also the expertise needed in design and construction. Just one slipper is comprised of several sections, each often made up of several pieces of wool and sheepskin. Each piece is expertly woven together using traditional techniques which have been fine-tuned even further by key pieces of modern technology.

Despite Shepherd of Sweden being a contemporary brand with a stylish offering, it's great to see that they continue to employ handcrafted elements in all of their slippers. This practice connects the modern designs to the tradition of the craft. Plus it also ensures that the production process is not all about speed, but instead about care, thoroughness and quality.
