About Dubarry of Ireland

Dubarry of Ireland started life way back in 1937, and their boots today speak to decades of experience, passion and development. The company was set up all those years back in Ballinasloe, which is in Galway on the west coast of Ireland. They are so named after the historic figure of Madame du Barry, with their name hinting at their connection in spirit and style to the continent. At the same time, Dubarry has always been influenced by the wild west coast of their original home in Ireland, with each pair of boots having been made not only to look good but to last, standing up to all the weather conditions that come their way.

Highest quality footwear

Although today Dubarry have a range of clothing to accompany their boots, it is in high-quality footwear that they have made their name. They began in the first half of the twentieth century by earning a reputation for the high level of craftsmanship that went into their leather shoes. By the 1970s, they were becoming a world leader in top-level nautical footwear. From the nautical shoe, they then developed their own country boot in the 1990s. Now, as our range will show, they offer a wide collection of boots and shoes which go from the more heavy-duty country boot to lighter slip-on deck shoes. It is, however, the Dubarry boots for men and women which are most famous.

As well as boots, we also have plenty of smaller shoes from Dubarry of Ireland's range, including their stylish deck shoes which come either with laces or as slip-ons. There are additionally some beautiful white loafers, as well as coral Bali shoes. All these smaller shoes are made from the highest quality of leather and designed so as to be stable as well as soft and comfortable inside.
