If you are looking for sheepskin rugs, Aran handknits, unusual items for around the house, menswear, knitwear or other gifts, you have come to the right place. We also sell high quality baby and toddler wear, other children's clothes and a selection of leather goods.

The Old Byre is situated on the beautiful Isle of Arran off the west coast of Scotland (often referred to as Scotland in Miniature), set on a small farm. It really is in an old cow byre - modified and clean now I'm happy to say! The charm and character of the place is now quite a tourist attraction with the old animal stalls still in evidence.

Established in 1967, we pride ourselves in providing a friendly efficient service retailing quality products which are good value for money. Aiming for customer satisfaction worldwide, your needs are our priority. Our customers come from all over the world: some discovered our shop during a holiday here on Arran, while the internet has allowed us to expand our horizons, and we are happy to ship goods to anywhere in the world.
